Deakin School of IT Ranked the 6th in Australia, and top 76-100 Worldly

School of Information Technology at Deakin University is ranked No. 6 in the Australia and top 76-100 in the world, according to ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) 2021. This is further proof of the SIT’s commitment to achieving global excellence in computer science education and research. With its international faculty, diverse student body as well as enthusiastic and influential support base, School of IT takes pride in the dedication of its staff members scaling new heights, its research focus as well as its strong connections with the academia, the industry and the community over the years.

Released in June, this year’s GRAS include a ranking of the world’s top 100 universities in the “Computer Science and Engineering” category. ShanghaiRanking began publishing Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) by academic subjects since 2009. ARWU is regarded as one of the three most influential and widely observed university measures, alongside the QS World University Rankings and Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
